Barry M Matte Nail Polish

Barry M is known for their colourful cosmetics. I love the range of colours they have in their nail varnishes and I have quite a few of them!

I was shopping the other day and I wanted to buy some more Autumnal make up and when I go shopping I always have to take a look at the Barry M section and see what nail polish they have and if there are new ones out.

I noticed they had some matte nail polish and from photos I have seen on matte polish I like the look so had to try some.  I bought crush which is the one on the left the berry kind of colour and Espresso on the right the black colour. I had to buy the black as I think the look black matte polish has is fab!

One thing I absolutely love about this polish is that it dries really quickly! I hate waiting for nails to dry and find I am an expert at smudging them!

I love how the black looks once applied but the crush one I cant say I like it matte, I think I would prefer it with shine lol.

So far I haven't chipped it as I think Barry M do chip fairly quick for me. Will I buy any more matte colours? Probably not, I don't think I can get away with matte nails lol, so I will stick to the shiny colours!

MUA Fur Effects and MUA Nail Constellation

I was looking at the MUA products in Superdrug when my sister showed me this. I thought it was a really different type of nail product which is why I bought it. You can get this in different colours such as pink and the price is only £3.00.

To apply this you apply a clear base coat to your nails and then you can press the nail whilst its still wet in the pot or pour it over the nail. Then remove any excess and pat dry.

I wouldn't say I was impressed by this but then I didn't really have high hopes in the first place. I don't think you could wear this for everyday wear and it looks quite cheap. It also comes off really easily and this can also get messy when applying.  The fur itself though feels really soft and it reminds me of candy floss.

I would say the fur effects is like when you get cotton wool stuck to wet nail varnish.

I also bought MUA Nail Constellation.

I love the colour of these beads and like the fur effects you have to use a clear base coat and then pour them on the nail before it dries. This is also £3.00 in Superdrug.

This again can get quite messy, I got beads everywhere! However I did quite like the finish look and I think it would look nice on maybe just one nail instead of all of them. I also put a clear coat on top to see if that would help make the beads stay but it just ruined the colours of the beads, so I advise not to do that!

Overall I wont be buying the fur effects again but I do like the constellation beads :)

Rimmel pop your pink

I am always wearing nail varnish and I am a big fan of Barry M nail varnish for their range of colours. But I thought I would venture out a bit and try another brand for a change. So I decided to pick Rimmel! I have tried one of their nail varnishes before, their 60 second drying one and was quite impressed!

I have been searching for a fluorescent pink for ages! My friend at work has an amazing shade from avon but I still cant find it so when I found pop your pink I had to get it.

I love this shade, its a nice bright pink and the brighter the nail varnish the more I love it! I have to say my picture doesn't really do it justice. This RRP at £2.99 which is a great price and this dries really quick which is AMAZING as I hate waiting for nail polish to dry and then when I think its dry it really isn't and I smudge it! Then my world ends after that lol.

The only downfall I have so far is that when it dries it doesn't really have shine but a clear top coat would sort that out.

Overall I am impressed with Rimmel nail varnish and their shades they really do have some amazing colours in their lasting finish and great names for them!
