Barry M Matte Nail Polish

Barry M is known for their colourful cosmetics. I love the range of colours they have in their nail varnishes and I have quite a few of them!

I was shopping the other day and I wanted to buy some more Autumnal make up and when I go shopping I always have to take a look at the Barry M section and see what nail polish they have and if there are new ones out.

I noticed they had some matte nail polish and from photos I have seen on matte polish I like the look so had to try some.  I bought crush which is the one on the left the berry kind of colour and Espresso on the right the black colour. I had to buy the black as I think the look black matte polish has is fab!

One thing I absolutely love about this polish is that it dries really quickly! I hate waiting for nails to dry and find I am an expert at smudging them!

I love how the black looks once applied but the crush one I cant say I like it matte, I think I would prefer it with shine lol.

So far I haven't chipped it as I think Barry M do chip fairly quick for me. Will I buy any more matte colours? Probably not, I don't think I can get away with matte nails lol, so I will stick to the shiny colours!

Soap and Glory Mist You Madly Body Spray

Soap and Glory Mist you Madly Body Spray is a 'flirty, floral fragrant body spray'. Soap and Glory products have always smelt amazing and this is no disappointment!  Soap and Glory is available at Boots.

The first time I tried this was when I received a Soap and Glory gift set at Christmas and it contained a big bottle of this. I absolutely loved it and the scent is amazing!!

As mentioned you can get a bigger version of this 250ml and this is for £6.50 which is more value for money but I got the smaller 100ml version for my bag and that is £3.50. Look at me doing my maths working out value ;)

This is a good size for carrying around in your handbag and is great for as it is put on the website 'flash of fabulous'.

It has bergamot,
blackcurrent, magnolia, freesia, vanilla and musk. I think I can smell the vanilla and musk the most :)

I find the scent lasts a long time and I have had a few comments on how nice it smells. Depending on how much you spritz at a time will depend on how long it lasts but I wouldn't say you need too much of this at one time.  A spritz here and there perhaps!

I want to try and save my perfumes for more special occasions instead of everyday, which is really hard as I have to put perfume on lol. So this works as a great replacement.

Bioderma Sensibio AR Compact Anti Rougeurs

Hey guys, sorry I havent dont much posting this week but I have a stinking cold and havent felt up to it!
Anyway I wanted to do a quick post on this Bioderma Sensibio Compact I was sent by Farmaline.

I love and I know a lot of people love Bioderma Cleanser so when I received this I was very excited! But then came the bad part.... unfortunately the colour I received was suitable for a more darker tone :( So I am unable to try this but I thought I would share with everyone what it does as I like the sound of it :)

The Bioderma Compact is a corrector for redness on the skin and is specially formulated for sensitive skin that is prone to redness. It helps to reduce the redness and even out complexion. I love the sound of this as I get quite red on my chin area from eczema so this sounds like it would be great to cover it! This is around £15.47.

Its really nice and creamy and it also protects from UV sun rays.  It has a mirror and comes with a sponge hidden underneath.

I think this only comes in 2 shades which is light and dark. I would love to try the light but I would want to test it first to make sure it is light enough as I dont want to waste £15.00!

Lierac Paris Huile Sensoirielle Aux 3 Fleurs Blanches

Lierac Paris Huile Sensoirielle Aux 3 Fleurs Blanches is a sensory oil for the face, body and hair. It nourishes and regenerates the skin for 24hours and when added to bath water diffuses a scent of relaxation.

I received this in my box of goodies from Farmaline :) I have tried this in my bath, on my hair and face and body.

The Lierac Huile Sensoirielle contains Jasmine,Gardenia and Camellia which provide relaxation  anti oxidant and restructure  It also contains Hazelnut Oil,  Almond Oil, Grape seed Oil, Argan Oil to help moisturise. There is also scents of  osmanthus, amber fresh vanilla, precious woods and vetive.

I think the scent to this is a nice sweet smell but its not as nice as the Galenic Creme  lol but still good! The smell to the Galenic just made a big impression on me!

Hair:  I used this on the mid to end lengths of my hair as where I ombre'd it this was where my hair was really dry. As suggested I places some Sensory Oil in the palm of my hand and then scrunched into my hair. I cant really say it soften my hair that much but it did leave a nice perfume scent and made it a bit more shiny.

Face and Body:  Again I applied an amount into my palm and applied to my face and body, this is meant to absorb quickly and not feel greasy which once absorbed it doesn't feel greasy.  It made my skin feel nice and soft and has helped towards banishing my dry patches!

Bath:   I added this to my bath and this is meant to help relax and become a softening and protective bath milk water.  For me it didn't really relax me any more then a bath normally would lol.

This is around £21 on Farmaline, would I buy it myself? Probably not but thats not because I dont like the product as I think for dry skin on the face and body its perfect but I would rather go for a cheaper alternative and use something like Johnsons Baby Oil as that works just as well for me.

Galenic Argane Creme Confort Infinite

The Argane Creme Confort Infinite was sent to me in my package from Farmaline http://emmaloujohansson.blogspot.com/2013/10/farmaline.html . I have never heard of Galenic Paris before but Galenic are a 'youthful skin expert, Galenic proposes high end, natural beauty products sold in pharmacies'.

I was sent the Argane Creme Confort Infinite which is for very dry skin which you apply morning and/or evening to the face and neck,  this sounds perfect for me! It also helps protect the skin from signs of ageing which is an added bonus as I dont want no wrinkles!

It contains Argane Oil with Vitamin E, this helps to moisturise and nourish, Argane Peptides which stimulate cell renewal, Beeswax which is also nourishing and protective,Shea Butter which is nourishing, protective and repairs, Seasme Oil which is nourishing and prevents the skin from drying and Calendula extracts which is cooling and finally Vitamin E which is an antioxidant.

This all sounds really good to me so I was pretty excited to try this out.

The first thing in which I noticed about this product was the smell, its absolutely incredible!! This applies really well and absorbs well too, leaving that wonderful scent behind! This Creme works wonders, my skin is no longer dry :) and this will be great for the winter months for me when my skin can get really bad and dry out. You also do not need to apply a lot of this.

This is around £27.00 for 50ml at Farmaline which isnt on the cheap side but it is better then having dry skin. I found last year when my skin got really bad that nothing was working for me, if only I knew about this then!

Galenic you have impressed me! I would love to try some more of their products and hope they are as good as this. You can do a skin diagnostics on their website http://www.galenic.com/my-diagnosis/skin# where you answer 5 questions and they recommend certain products of theirs for your skin needs.

Have you heard of Galenic before?

MUA Pro Base Primer

I think this is the second time I have tried a Makeup Academy make up product, the first was some eyeshadow palettes but I ended up throwing them away because they were too bright and I didnt wear bright eyeshadow lol. I have also previously tried their nail fur and beads http://emmaloujohansson.blogspot.com/2013/09/mua-fur-effects-and-mua-nail.html .

I dont actually wear primer that much only if I am going out as thats when I want my make up to last. I didnt want to pay out too much for one and so I found this one in Superdrug. I tried to find this on their website to link it but its not on there...

On the back of the 27ml bottle it says ' A velvety smooth formula that feels light on your skin and creates a flawless even complexion. Wear alone or under foundation for a long lasting finish.'

I do like this primer, it doesnt feel greasy and does feel light on the skin and doesn't cling to dry patches. I cant say its evened out my complexion....maybe a tiny bit? But it does keep my make up lasting longer. It has a really faint scent, so faint that I cant make out what might have a similar scent lol.

When you apply foundation over the top, foundation does apply over it well and it all blends nicely. I have tried different foundations with this primer such as Max Factor Whipped Creme, Revlon Colorstay and Revlon Photoready Foundation. All which look great and stay great when using this primer.

This is a good primer for the price, I think it was something like £4 or £5. I have also used a smashbox primer before and between the two I like each for different reasons as I find the smashbox primer does even out complexion but MUA's doesnt for me, but MUA feels nice and light and blends reall well. I suppose it depends on what kind of mood I am in to what primer I use for going out.

Loreal Hair Expertise EverRiche Mask Pot

If you read my tweets then you will know that recently I attempted to Ombre my hair at home.  This wasnt a good idea of mine and the bad thing is I knew what would happen but I did it anyway. I only have myself to blame! (My hair went ginger btw but I have managed to tone it down now) I dont think I will ever learn.

Anyway after I did the Ombre, it left my hair really dry, I have never have had my hair this dry before where it just tangles even after you piled the conditioner on! So I thought I needed to get something to help try and repair my hair back to its softness!

I bought the Loreal Ever Riche Mask Pot as I love their Triple Resit Shampoo, its my favourite! So I thought this would hopefully be good too.

This conditioner smells AH-MAZING, it contains Botanical Oils, Camelina and Apricot Seed. Its for dry to very dry hair and leaves the hair feeling nourished and helps to protect against dryness.

From the first application my hair was noticeably softer which impressed me and I am hard to impress lol! With each time its used I can definitely feel that my hair is a lot softer and it does not feel damaged at all now, which is great! :) I think its a good size too and the price is £6.99.

Again I need to rave about how good it smells lol, very relaxing!

I am really glad I went with the Loreal Hair Expertise EverRiche Mask Pot, Loreal's Hair shampoo and conditioners never disappoint me and I recommend this for anyone with dry hair especially from bleaching as it works wonders!

Gorgeous by Gok

Its coming up to Chistmas!!! :) my favourite time of the year even if its when all my friends and familys birthdays are! I thought I would do a quick post on on of my favourite things I look forward to at Christmas which is the Gok range at Boots.

I absolutely love his range and every year I will receive something from his collection for Christmas from the parents :).

Last year I got the Gorgeous Gok shower scrub in the wash bag set, I really wanted that particular set because of the bag, it comes in very handy and is a great size for when I am away.

Gok does change some of his products each year and this was a new one in the set.

I love this shower scrub! It smells really lovely with the Almond Oil and it just feels really great and leaves the skin feeling smooth and smelling Gorgeous! I find that Goks products never fail to smell amazing though! The first thing I look at on the Boots website at Christmas is the Goks range and I already have my eyes on a few items ;) .

Its just a shame that you cant buy these all year round.

Anyone got their eyes on any Christmas Gift sets?

Lush Angel on Bare Skin

I have never really had a skin regime until a few months ago...I know thats really bad but my skin use to be pretty good lol! This had to change though, as I was wearing make up more frequently and so my skin started to change. So off I went and bought lots of new products and the Lush Angel on Bare Skin being one of them.

Angels on Bare Skin is a fresh cleanser and at the moment is currently out of stock on the Lush website :(  As Lush puts it 'As gentle and beautiful as being kissed by angels'. It is based on an old age formula and reduces redness in the skin and evens out the appearance and tone.

.
Angels on Bare skin contains the following ingredients which are all natural:
Ground Almonds, Glycerine, Kaolin, Water,Lavender Oil, Rose Absolute, Chamomile Blue Oil,Tagetes Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Lavender Flowers,Limonene, Linalool.

I cant decide if I like the product or not...I think I do but let met explain why I am a bit unsure. I love the smell but it is a strong lavender scent so if you don't like the smell of Lavender then I wouldn't recommend buying this. At first I wasn't too keen on the smell but now I oddly really like it.  I also love like I mentioned before, that the products are not tested on animals and that this is also made in England!

There is directions on how to use this and let me say one thing, its messy! But you do kind of get the knack of it after a while. To apply you need to take a pea sized amount (I tend to take a bit more because I drop half of it) and then you add some water until its a paste or milk texture and then rub over your face, massage in and rinse. This is very crumbly which is why it can get messy!

Now I am unsure on this because I cant say I have noticed any difference in my appearance. I cant say that it has reduced redness or evened out my skin tone. I do find my face becomes quite red when I have used this which I find a bit odd and I haven't noticed an improvement to my complexion.  I also found using my 'new' skin regime actually made my skin really bad so I stopped using all the products and now use the odd few and thankfully it has approved. Maybe it was more to do with that.

I dont know if I will purchase this again but I think I will continue to use this to see if I can make up my mind. I really do love most Lush products I have tried. Here is my review on the Lip scrub I did Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub .

Has anyone else tried this?

Max Factor Whipped Creme Foundation

When I first heard about this, I thought it was going to be like Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse which is something I don't like because it dries my skin out and its just thick and horrible and is just not a good product at all in my book.

My skin is a bit all over the place at the moment not knowing what it wants to do and my eczema on my chin! Frustration alert. Anyway I have used Max Factor foundations before, I really love their miracle touch but their Ageless Elixir not so much.

This is £7.99 from Boots and is fragrance free which is great for sensitive skin and the whipped texture is hydrating and won't clog pores!

swatched

blended

When I first did a tester on myself the product felt quite thick and I thought it was going to end up applying this way too. It actually doesn't do that and it blends really well and gives a nice medium coverage. A little really does go a long way with this and it gives a nice finish.

This does remind me of their miracle touch foundation but in a whipped creme form. I have this in the lightest shade which is 040 Light Ivory. I find Max Factor's light foundations shades do fit my skin really well which usually I always find hard with the drugstore brands to find a decent match, only Max Factor and Revlon have been good for me.

This foundation also lasts really well especially if you powder it for extra staying power.  This does not dry out my skin and it doesn't break me out either as I find with Revlon their foundation breaks me out, which is annoying because I love that foundation so much lol.  I have applied this with the Real Techniques expert face brush and their miracle complexion sponge which you can find a review here Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and both apply really well.

Overall I am really loving this foundation at the moment and have been wearing it all the time.  This has to be one of my favourite drugstore foundations.
